March 24, 201610 yr Hi, If I was to use a 8GB pen stick. What are the chances this will get filled up? What is saved onto the drive after initial install? e.g programs and such.
March 25, 201610 yr Very, very little gets actually saved to the flash drive. Only settings for unraid. All apps (and their settings / metadata) tends to be saved to the cache drive or array (if you don't have a cache drive). My most complicated server only uses a whopping 453meg on the flash
March 25, 201610 yr My 8GB flash drive has 7.83 GB and I've been using it for years. With unRAID v6 it might fill a little faster but I would still be surprised if you didn't have 7+GB free if you have that much after installing all the plugins and dockers you intend. I write everything to my cache/appdrive and almost never write to the flash drive.
