March 29, 201610 yr Sorry about my lack of understanding ... but I'm using 6.0-beta14b ... Parity Status says "Data is invalid" ... but I can't figure out how to initiate a rebuild the parity (I had a drive corruption and had to perform an xfs_repair -L) ... I'm used to seeing a rebuild parity button or something
March 29, 201610 yr Author I emailed a friend who said this ... "I would have expected a "Parity Check" button to be there (in the main tab). If you have no posted on the unRAID forums already about this I would start there and see if anyone can chime in on why the Dashboard is showing the "Parity Status: Data Invalid" message but the "Main" tab does not seem to have the parity check/build button."
March 29, 201610 yr Community Expert Perhaps you should post a screen shot of the Main Tab. Also when requesting help you should provide the diagnostics (Tools->Diagnostics) file.
March 29, 201610 yr see attached zip file with image and log That is syslog Please provide diagnostics file (Tools->Diagnostics).
March 29, 201610 yr Author sorry ... my Tools doesn't seem to have a diagnostics option (I've re-attached a screen shot of my [tools] tab)
March 29, 201610 yr Community Expert Just realised how old the version of unRAID that is being used. It is not even a v6 general release version and is now completely unsupported and hard to resolve any issues with it as a result. I would strongly suggest you get onto the current release version (6.1.9) as what you are seeing may be an artifact of the old version.
March 29, 201610 yr Author I've now updated to the most current version (6.1.9) ... now one of my drives has an orange indicator (Device is disabled, contents emulated) ... is there is procedure to fix this? also see attached diagnostics tower-diagnostics-20160329-2051.zip
March 29, 201610 yr Author thanks for all the help ... I followed the instructions on your link provided ... I'ts rebuilding the drive (estimated 17 hours) ... I have suspicion this will solve the problem ... I really appreciate the help from everybody ...
