[SOLVED] Web interface crashes when adjusting number of disks

Featured Replies

I'm having an odd issue, i have previously adjusted the number of possible slots for drive additions to be visible to 7, but now when i change to 8 (or more) the web interface crashes instantly, and i have to reboot from ssh to get unraid working again...

6.1.9

SOLVED: Used IE11 in private mode and it worked fine.

Alternatively, don't use chrome for that operation, ie or firefox.

Cache clearning didn't help, but IE 11 did the trick. I dont know why i didn't even think about that... THanks guys.

Boniel not sure if you can repeat this or how i can help more to fix..

I use Chrome myself and don't have these issues. Perhaps it is related to a particular version of Chrome? Hard to troubleshoot though, but easy to solve (just use another browser).

It's a very strange issue, in v6.1 there were 2 things I couldn't do with chrome, changing the number of array slots crashed webGUI and adding cache disks wouldn't stick after reboot, with 6.2-betas 1st issue went way, I can change number of slots, cache still doesn't stick with chrome.

I reported a similar problem (with slot changes that wouldn't stick) with earlier v6 versions, but that was with Firefox.  I think I used Chrome to get it to work finally.

Can you try out the attached updates, and see if it is now possible to change slots/sticky assignments in Chrome?

Unzip the file and copy the 4 .page files to /usr/loca/emhttp/webGui

Did it and there's no change for the cache sticking, e.g., I assign 4 disks to cache pool, and after rebooting sometimes have 2, other 3, never all 4.

The other issue, wegGui crashing when changing the number of array slots, stopped happening on v6.2-beta, I tried downgrading to v6.1 and it's also not happening anymore for me, maybe something changed on chrome, I'm using Version 49.0.2623.87 m (64-bit).

I can't replicate the issue, I am using Chrome version 51.0.2693.2 dev-m (64-bit)
