Need some help with a build

Featured Replies

I have a client that is looking to consolidate his servers down to one box. We are looking to use Unraid to create a 3CX Voip Server, Property Management Server, and a NVR that will be recording about 35 ip cameras. Anyone got any good ideas for hardware?

Suggestions would be great!!!

I Know Unraid will work but not sure on the hardware.

With all due respect to the folks at Lime-tech, I wouldn't recommend an UnRaid solution to a business. From what you are describing, I would go with a VMware solution, name brand hardware from Dell, HP or Lenovo and same day or next day hardware support. Support is something you really need to consider when building a solution for your client, who is going to support the hardware, how fast can they get support? If you are going to support it, what happens when you are sick or on vacation? Years ago I decided to go with name brand, sure it costs more but your client only has to pick up the phone if you are unavailable to get help. UnRaid is great, for home use but not ready for business yet, if they are even interested in going there at all, its not aimed at businesses.
