I've been trying to get a Windows VM running for my security cameras but everytime I started it the load would spike up and I was worried plex streams would buffer. I read some stuff and set the Windows VM to 2 cores and 4GB ram only (out of 4 cores/8GB) and things look better now. I started up four transcoding sessions and one direct play session in plex and the load shot up to 20 something but everything still played fine. Is this okay, I thought you wanted to try and keep the load around 4 (number of cpus)?
