March 31, 201610 yr So I upgraded my server's MB/CPU/RAM combination and I'm trying to boot for the first time. The board is a used Intel S2600CP and although at boot it says it recognizes a USB keyboard, there's no functionality so I can't get into the bios. I've tried resetting the bios by removing the cmos battery but still no keyboard functionality. I've confirmed at least one USB port works because I can boot to unRAID but when I use this slot for the keyboard then nothing. When I booted the first time, I forgot to remove the UnRAID stick as I was just planning to boot into bios and couldn't stop it from booting into UnRAID once I realized the keyboard wasn't working. I also hadn't updated my DHCP reservation with the new NIC address and the network.cfg file was still referencing the old IP address since I was using a static IP with the old server NIC. Anyway, I can try booting into UnRAID again but I'm thinking I need to get into bios first anyway. When I boot without an OS, the Intel Boot Agent is giving me the following: PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent Since I didn't have UnRAID pointing to the IP address of the server, when I typed the new server IP address I was getting the BMC web console but it was asking for a username and password. There doesn't appear to be a default and I think I have to set it in the bios BICBW. Any suggestions on how to get into the bios? EDIT: I figured out that the default username and password for intel BMC web console is admin/admin. Evaluating parameters now. Overall system health is "amber" whatever that means. EDIT 2: I think I'm amber because I'm only using 4 out of the 5 system fan MB connections. I was also able to force the server to boot into the bios through the BMC but I still can't edit anything because I have no keyboard functionality. EDIT 3: Ok, fixed the bios issue with another USB keyboard. Now when I boot into UnRAID v6.1.9 I can't access the GUI because the BMC web console comes up. Is this BMC web console Intel's IPMI? I've been looking for a more detailed document for the bios configuration settings but haven't found anything yet. FINAL EDIT: Not sure what I did but I finally got the GUI to show up...all drives were recognized correctly and the array is running. Success...after a few minor hiccups.
