Help! upgrading from v5.0.6 Could not find Kernel Image

Featured Replies

So I was upgrading using the plugin and rebooting twice method. As described in the upgrade thread. I copied the file to the plugins folder on my flash drive. Rebooted twice. I just rebooted the second time and could not connect to the server.

So I had to connect a monitor to my server and I get the following error message "could not find kernel image: linux"

What do I do?

You will have to do the manual upgrade steps, including rerunning the makebootable.bat step.

Not really sure what that means. The post said it should be a simple upgrade using the plugin for V5.0+ using the plugin. Any idea what happened?

... Any idea what happened?

Not without a lot more information that probably won't help you go forward anyway. See the upgrade sticky at the top of this subforum.

It didnt work.

Others have had similar issues before that were only resolved by doing the manual upgrade procedure.

I wasn't ready to do the full upgrade today, good thing I backed up my flash drive prior. I'll read up some more. Thanks everyone
