New setup - Drive questions

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

After playing around with the demo for a short time I took the plung and purchased Unraid. I have been a Windows Home Server and WS2012R2E user so this is new to me.

Here is where I stand I have 6 drives currently setting up now. I have 2 drives setup as a cache. The larger 240GB drive only shows 180GB free and nothing has been put on this drive yet. The second cache drive does not show any information. I will add a picture so you can see what I am looking at. How do I only have 180GB on one and not seeing any stats on the second?

Thanks

What file system was the Crucsial SSD on before you put it into the UnRaid server? Are there other partitions on it that could be taking up space?

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than myself on cache pools is going to pipe in, but in the mean time I believe that the total space available is only going to be 120 Gig, and its a known issue with btrfs that its calculations of size are incorrect when disks of differing sizes are used in pools.  I also seem to recall seeing other posts about no stats showing on cache 2, but I could be wrong there

Once I removed the second drive from the pool the larger ssd began showing the correct size.
