April 3, 201610 yr Noticed the other day that my dockers seemed to be not working, after a reboot and trying to recreate the images i couldn't even get the docker to run anymore. Took this weekend to start collecting my diagnostics and getting ready to post and now i see one of my new devices has failed. i just picked it up week before last and it had passed pre clear with no issues. any ideas or suggestions on where to start? diagnostics are attached. Thanks in advance for the suggestions. tower-diagnostics-20160402-2354.zip
April 3, 201610 yr Docker image is corrupt, delete it and create a new one. SMART for the failed disk look fine, check/replace all cabling and try to rebuild to the same disk, if it fails again in the near future it's probably bad.
April 5, 201610 yr Author Recreated the docker image, works as expected now. Does that happen often? anything i can do to better prevent it? Also tried rebuilding the failed device. Seems to rebuild fine and then fail shortly after the rebuild. Attached another diagnostic.... think its just a bad drive? Due to file size i had to leave config and shares off the diagnostic. Thanks again for the help. Much appreciated tower-diagnostics-20160405-1037.zip
April 5, 201610 yr Disk dropped offline, if you already replace the cables it's probably a bad disk, best to replace it.
April 5, 201610 yr Author Ok, I'm using 4-1 sata to sas cables. I switched them around and no luck, other drives on the same line are fine. I'll go ahead and replace it. Thanks for the help!
