April 4, 201610 yr Hi, I'm looking for a reasonably priced (for home use) NAS case that will house 8-10 (12 even better) HDDs/SSDs and a full size ATX mobo? Not to fussy on the style. Flat type cases will be fine. Any suggestions please ?
April 4, 201610 yr What sort of footprint size are you looking for? When you say flat I assume you mean not vertical? I don't know of many desktop style cases that will hold that many hard drives. Why the need for an ATX motherboard, are you going to be using a full size GPU?
April 4, 201610 yr This case will hold up to 20 3.5" drives using 5X3 drive cages: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129100 This one up to 15 drives using cages: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021&cm_re=antec_three_hundred_two-_-11-129-021-_-Product I am using this latter one and I can tell you, it is a quality case. I am using 5.25"X3.5" hot swap cages which would allow to have up to nine drives in this case. With these cages, I quickly swap a drive out and the new one in about thirty seconds and never have to open the case.
