Snapshots in unRAID like in FreeNAS

Hi there

 

I just heard about the snapshot feature on FreeNAS and really like it. Is there a way on unRAID to do basically the same thing?

Because the parity disk is great in case of a drive failure but it doesn't protect you from user error. So but it would be nice to be able to have a way to recover accidentally deleted files.

    No, there is no snapshot feature.

     

    For a small amount of protection against accidental deletion one can install the Recycle Bin plugin.
