April 6, 201610 yr I had been having an issue with one of my computers not connecting to my Unraid server shares. All of my computers (including the Unraid server) have static IPs. The computer that wouldn't connect is running Win 7 Pro. I could ping the server using the IP address, and also using \\Tower. I could connect to the server's web GUI. I could not however map a drive or see the server in the network. After googling of and on for three days, I finally found a solution that worked for me, and I wanted to post it here. Hopefully it will help someone in the future. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/ef232016-0f87-4252-ae65-a101534ed1ea/can-ping-server-but-cannot-map-network-drive? "Just found a solution this morning: Type in the following command in command prompt: netsh int isa set state disabled Give it a couple of reboots and that should sort it."
April 6, 201610 yr Might have something to do with the Local Master setting. Rebooting the and possibly other devices might fix it too.
