April 8, 201610 yr Hi, I've just started using unRAID and wanna pass my two 560Ti's through to a VM (only Windows 10 for now, Arch and OS X when I'm more used to unRAID). But when I start the VM I do not get any Output on my monitors. I can start the VM with a VNC Adapter and install Windows 10 from another PC but I can't get it to work with any of both gpus. I thought it may be because of the SLI Bridge, so I've already removed it but still no luck. System Specs: Intel i7 6700K ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming 16GB HyperX Fury RAM 2x Nvidia GTX 560Ti I have VT-d enabled and I think all other BIOS Settings should be correct. It would be really disappointing if this won't work because I've already paid for the pro license, but I can't use it when I can't get the VM up and running. Any help would be really appreciated. - Max
April 8, 201610 yr Author Looks like the GPU Passthrough only works on the first time a gpu is used. I could go through the windows installer but when the vm was rebooting I didn't get any output.
April 8, 201610 yr What BIOS setting are you using on the VM? SeaBIOS or OMVF? What Machine setting are you using? i440fx or Q35?
April 9, 201610 yr Author I've tried all possible combinations: SeaBIOS & Q35, SeaBIOS & i440fx, OMVF & Q35 and OMVF & i440fx. And yes, I've read the Wiki article and I've already tried the troubleshooting steps noted in the article. Thats how I got the GPUs working once, but not across VM reboots.
April 9, 201610 yr If I remember correctly, jonp mentioned that the 500 series doesn't support resetting. A workaround is to safely remove the device in the VM before rebooting. But first you have to reboot unraid to be able to use the card in the VM again. As far as I know, SLI isn't supported yet.
April 9, 201610 yr Author Okay, thanks That's a little bit annoying but I guess I have to deal with it.
