Hello, all. I am a noob of noobs. Not only am I new to unRAID, but I'm not all too familiar with Linux in general. As of now,all I've done is configure my array, but outside of that I'm lost. I've installed a few plugins and a docker, but I'm not sure how they work and how to configure them, I've opened the config files for some (openvpnclient.cfg) but I'm not really sure how to set anything up. I'm specifically trying to setup CouchPotato behind PIA and also setup remote access using openvpn.

Any tutorials, advice or help you guys can give me or point me in the direction of would be greatly appreciated.

First off, welcome!  :)

No worries, everyone was new at one point, and in varying capacities of knowledge.

Your best best is, read the wiki (official documentation here) http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Official_Documentation

This will get you started. There is also a LOT of good wiki info that is unofficial, written by users available also.

2nd best advice, search (did I mention) search, as a LOT of your questions are likely well described already.

As for not knowing Linux, no biggie, this is less of an issue now than it ever was previously.

LT (LimeTech) and the community have done a lot of work to keep new users from having to use the console or SSH to perform regular actions.

If you want to do such things you still can, just unadvised and (fortunately) not needed very often.

Have a good look at this thread and follow the links in the first two posts:

The first one will give the HTTP version of the ver 6 manual and the second will give a PDF if you are one (like me) who feels most comfortable with the printed page in hand.  The content is identical for either version so the choice is yours.  The first 17 pages of the PDF manual will provide you with a good grounding as to how unRAID works and how to use some of the features that were introduced in version 6.

I'm pretty new at this too so I can tell you how I started.  For download functions I made a Windows VM and have all my download stuff on it.  Sonarr, couch potato, and PIA all autostart when the OS starts.  Dockers are cool, but I wanted a setup that I was confident in the VPN always working.  But of course Dockers are cool, so I use a docker for plex and crashplan.  This gives me the functionality I want while I learn this thing.
