Debugging cron job where are logs?

I have one cron job successfully setup that I know for sure runs.

 

I'm setting up a second one to run a bash script every 20 minutes on the hour, but not sure it's being run yet.  Where are logs kept for cron jobs?  /var/log/cron exists but is empty.

 

(sorry for the new guy questions!)

    My mistake.. turns out that "crond restart" doesn't actually work to add new cron jobs from the /boot/ drive.

     

    I executed "update_cron" which then worked!
