I have all disk/user shares set to "Secure"

 

I have a VM that runs mcebuddy to take TVshows from my HTPC, cut commercials, convert and write them to unraid share. I can set a time for MCEBuddy to run say midnight - 6am.

 

Is there a way say from Midnight -6am to turn the smb share back to read/write so that MCEBuddy can write the file to the share in a batch file, cron job etc?

 

 

Why not have that VM connect via a secure username instead?

So you mean the following:

 

Add a userid to unraid server with read/write to that share -

 

Say -

Userid - User1

Password - User1qwertgbvcxz

 

And have this as a userid login for the VM ?
