Mover problem

Featured Replies

I had 2 bluray backups on my cache drive of 42 and 45 GB.

In my array I have 2 disks with 48 and 50 GB free space.

The mover is started and moves one bluray backup to one of the 2 disks, filling this disk pretty much up.

Still the mover tries to move the 2nd backup, an ISO of 45 GB, to this almost full disk with only 8 GB free space.

There is now a remaining part of this file on the full disk.

Why does this happen? And how to get the mover to move this backup of the other disk?

What do you have set as the min free space for the share in question?  UnRAID will continue to try to use a disk until the free space falls below this value.  You should therefore set it to be a value at least as large as the size of the largest file you wish to copy.

Is this independent on how you set the allocation method, Most-free in this case. This is on off those things I never understood to be honest. I guess because I am Dutch :)

Another thing that might be forcing it to that disk is the split level settings.

yes - I think that many people do  not realize that split level overides allocation method.
