April 22, 201610 yr Since these Blues have effectively replaced the Greens, I wonder what their Idle3 timer is set to and whether it can be adjusted with the WDIDLE3 utility.

I'd be curious to know whether they include said Idle3 timer also... Can't find anything definitive on "the internet".
April 24, 201610 yr Good to know the WDIDLE3 utility still works. I've always set Greens (and one Red that came from the factory set to 8 seconds) to 300 seconds.
April 24, 201610 yr Sounds like the Blue's are a reasonable choice. I still tend to be a fan of the Reds, but at that price difference you can buy 5 Blue's for the price of 4 Reds ... effectively providing a "free" spare for every 4 drives It is nice to have confirmation that the WDIDLE utility still works on them.
