No keyboard when in Windows block-mode boot screen - stuck on system repair

Featured Replies

I have a VM that I had to force stop, now when I start it, the Windows block-mode screen displays, and as I have no keyboard access until GUI mode Windows starts, the PC goes into startup repair and I have to force stop.

Has anyone encountered this and found a way out of it?

Are you using video passthrough?  Try setting it back to VNC and see if you can then skip system repair

Thanks Squid, tried that. Was actually trying this up just before your post:

I should add that normally the keyboard and mouse (combo wireless USB setup) is passed through via PCI pass through, but I have also tried with no PCI pass through and specifically selecting the USB device in Edit mode for the VM. I've also tried changing the VM to VNC video but after booting that way and, the built-in VNC viewer doesn't seem able to connect - I'm assuming this might be due to the machine going into startup repair.

Just completely out of ideas at the moment...
