Hi All,

 

      This is probably obvious but I have installed/booted an iso of linux mint and can see the booted version using VNC viewer. However anytime I try using rdp it asks for credentials?? My unraid box does not have a password? I did add a password and tried logging in but no luck.

I think it's asking for credentials for the users on the VM, not the host.

Plus, I always thought RDP is a Microsoft thing, not Linux.

Thanks for the reply,  I am very green when it comes to the world of vm's. I had watched some video of somebody using rdp with unraid to access an admittidly windows os and it was not as laggy as vnc. I had assumed I could use it , so question what should I use other than vnc viewer.

install xrdp on your linux mint VM then RDP into it
