Jimmy90
have you tried passing through your IOMMU in the GO file? IOMMU=PT Is your Board running the latest BIOS or EFI? Have you tried this (unsafe) workaround in the GO file? vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 Link to comment
csmccarron
Board has latest BIOS. I added IOMMU=PT to the syslinux.cfg file. I will undo my changes to syslinux.cfg and make the ghanges in the GO file. syslinux.cfg default /syslinux/menu.c32 menu title Lime Technology, Inc. prompt 0 timeout 50 label unRAID OS menu default kernel /bzimage append intel_iommu=on iommu=pt pcie_acs_override=downstream initrd=/bzroot label unRAID OS GUI Mode kernel /bzimage append intel_iommu=on iommu=pt pcie_acs_override=downstream initrd=/bzroot,/bzroot-gui label unRAID OS Safe Mode (no plugins, no GUI) kernel /bzimage append initrd=/bzroot unraidsafemode label Memtest86+ kernel /memtest Link to comment
csmccarron
Ok, I was not sure how to add the kernel options to the GO file so I modified syslinux.cfg. It did not effect the virtual machine or unraid, as soon as virtual machine uses the sound card everything locks up. default /syslinux/menu.c32 menu title Lime Technology, Inc. prompt 0 timeout 50 label unRAID OS kernel /bzimage append vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 iommu=pt pcie_acs_override=downstream initrd=/bzroot label unRAID OS GUI Mode menu default kernel /bzimage append vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 iommu=pt pcie_acs_override=downstream initrd=/bzroot,/bzroot-gui label unRAID OS Safe Mode (no plugins, no GUI) kernel /bzimage append initrd=/bzroot unraidsafemode label Memtest86+ kernel /memtest GO file ____________________________________ #!/bin/bash # Start the Management Utility /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & Link to comment
Jimmy90
I meant syslinux.cfg, not the GO file, my mistake, sorry bout that. if you click on INFO, are both the HVM and IOMMU enabled at boot? Link to comment

csmccarron
I resolved this issue but giving up using the motherboard sound card and using a ASUS USB based sound card that is plugged into a USB3 pci express card that is mapped to the virtual machine. Link to comment
