FS: 3x iStarUSA 3x5.25" to 5x3.5" SATA Hard Drive Cage

Featured Replies

I have 3 USED cages. All 3 are in working order and came out of my old unRAID system. These are aluminum cases. All three have some stripped screw holes on the side. Easy fix is to get the next size up machine screw and use those. Aluminum is fairly easy to work with. Includes the cases and cables. Cables are used also. I would ship only in US with USPS Priority which is around $15 to $18 I think.  I will need to get a box and pack up, so a few days for shipping time. I do not use Paypal because of fees, but if you have no other choice I can use my friends Paypal account. I do accept Bitcoin. I could only find pictures of the red ones, but these are the BLUE model.

$100 + shipping. Please PM me if interested.

Thanks.

I am interested.  How many of those power cables need to be connected?  Are all of the screw holes stripped (as in, would I actually need to fix those that are)?

I'd like to echo the same question. Picture shows 3 molex and 2 sata power connections. Does one need to connect all 5, or just the molex or the sata sets?

I'm interested in the cages as well. I'm assuming you're selling all three for $100 and not each, correct?

I have these cages in my box. Power connections require all of one type or the other. So 2 Sata OR the 3 molex; not all 5. You will also need a bent paperclip to turn on/off the blinky lights.

I responded to my PM's. Sorry for the delay. Very busy week at work. I could have sworn I only used 2 molex on each cage. I'll try to look for pictures.

And yes, $100 for all three cages.

These have been shipped to user aptalca for free because of the delay's I kept receiving.

:)  thanks for shipping them, but no I can't accept them for free. I will send payment for the cages and the shipping cost. I wasn't really in a rush anyway so it's all good

I have 3 of these in my server as well and I use 1 molex and 2 SATA per cage.

When I did my review of the 3x5 cages I looked high and low on this and there was a ton of info on what to plug in and what not. All I could find officially was on their website FAQ, it seems to indicate to only use the two SATA power plugs or the three Molex connectors.

As far as I'm aware aptalca has received and installed these, and nothing has gone bang and he hasn't mentioned his house burning down so I reckon he's good....  ;D

Yup, still alive. All three cages are in my norco case. Each one is powered by 2 sata power cables only.

This model is especially nice because you can mount ssds in the same trays as well
