Replacement of Synology DS AUDIO

Featured Replies

I have unRAID up and running and I'm trying to replicate or find alternatives of the programs I used in my Synology.

I need a replacement of the Synology DS Audio aplication I had, and the same aplication on the ipad where I saw all the music I had and airplayed the music to my Zeppelin.

The ipad connects to the Synology NAS and shows the music stored in it.

Is there any alternative?

Thankyou

Gus

How do you people stream audio?

Has anyone heard of volumio? Would it be nice to make a docker with it... Any volunteer?

The other solution would be install itunes on my windows vm to serve the content. I could use my iphone to select the music to stream.

Whether it helps or not, I'm running an emby server and streaming to some chromecast audio's. Works great and can be controlled from android/ios devices.

I am not using audio often, but I use Plex to stream to chromecast audio.

Works good enough for what I need.

Look into installing Subsonic or Madsonic Dockers, and you can get many different apps to play your content on various devices.

For accessing your media on a fixed lcoation, I have all my music on Kodi.
