April 27, 201610 yr Unclear shutdown detected and now the parity check is restarting. Did I do something wrong with a shut down or reboot. What is the best way to close down Unraid to avoid such issues? I've not been able to find a shut down or reboot button within unraid itself. So any time I've needed to do it I've done it via the console using reboot command.
April 27, 201610 yr Author ok thanks Is there a way to shut down the server or reboot from the menu or some add on to do that?
April 27, 201610 yr Community Expert ok thanks Is there a way to shut down the server or reboot from the menu or some add on to do that? Dynamix System Buttons. See search tips in my sig. Even using this will require waiting for the array to stop, which can take several seconds depending on what you have running. Not stopping the array before shutdown or reboot is the definition of an unclean shutdown. Parity can become out of sync if the array isn't stopped so you will always get a correcting parity check if you don't stop first.
