Just to make sure, upgrading from 4.5 beta11 to 4.5 beta13 would require me to overwrite bzimage and bzrood in /boot and reboot, right? Thanks!

    Exactly, although 4.5 final is out, so you might want to upgrade to it instead.  No need to even try 4.5beta13.  (There is also a newer version of memtest, so you can overwrite it too)
