Fractal Design Node 804 Cube Case

Featured Replies

I am looking for a new case (matx).

Anyone here used the Fractal Design Node 804 Cube Case

It holds eight 3.5 hdds and two 2.5 drives, alot more than my Thermaltake Core V21.

Basically i want as small case as possible but with good cooling and be able to hold a large amout of hdds.

Hi!

I am using the Node 804. Did you have any questions regarding the case?

yes,

I want to use 8 harddrives in the case in the 2 cages. I wondered if the harddrives stay cool in this case.

Also can the clear window be put in any other position ie top or other side.

Many thanks

My HDD temperatures are usually around 35-38C depending on make and model. I have two (one in and one out) 120mm fans in the HDD chamber.

The two side panels are identical except for the lower screw hole which means that they can not be switched without minor modification (two new holes).

The top panel is a lot different from the side panels and can not be located elsewhere.

Hi,

my experience with this case (7 HDDs in use):

WD Green HDDs 2-6 TB Size have 28-38°C

WD Red Pro HDDs 6TB have 40-52°C! (they are specified up to 60°C, but :-\).

Thanks for the info guys. Just ordered one now. Harddrive temps seem pretty good  I think, my drives in my current case sit at about between 27 and 36. Cant wait to get it!!

It's a nice case.  One thing to note, the Seagate 8tb drives will not fit in the drive cages because they lack center mounting holes.
