automated backups?

Featured Replies

I've got a NAS drive on my network as well as the unraid file server. I'd like to somehow automate a full backup of the NAS device every week or month. Ideally I'd have 2-3 backups and then the 4th would purge the first backup to keep the total backups at 2 or 3.

Any way to do this?

If you can somehow mount the NAS drive over the network using unassigned devices then I think it could be accomplished with an rsync script.

The real trick is somehow mounting that NAS drive.

Does your NAS support apps?  I.e. Crashplan?

not sure. I've got a DNS-321 running alt-f firmware.

I'll look around but I don't think it supports anything right now. Still in BETA.
