Been looking at the Lenovo SA120 for a while now as it looks like a good option to expand storage within my array...my concern however is around the fans. Lots of reports saying the default fan state is at full noise (12k rpm) but can be reduced via the software....

 

Has anyone used one of these with either unRaid directly or via ESXI? I'm concerned if I pass the host card through to unRaid I wont be able to control the fan noise

    Have you had any luck with adjusting the fan speed on your sa120 ?

    I have mine connected via p410i in a dl380 g7 but it doesn't seem to give you the option to control the sas expander
