General question about best setup with Hackintosh

Featured Replies

Hello, I have been researching NAS type devices for the past week, attracted to unRaid due to its ease of use and low requirements. I am no stranger to building computers / configurations, etc.

I converted my Core i7 machine to Hackintosh for full on music production. I wanted to run Windows as window from the mac. My initial plan was to have a separate smaller machine running unRaid as a file server/media streamer. But a recent video suggest just using one machine for everything since it is such a monster.

So my question is, would OSX be a VM only accessible via VNC? Or can the mac feel "Native" and use all my 4 monitors / graphic cards? Right now I have a stable Hackintosh that took a while with 4 monitors, GPU Graphics, Sound, Midi, etc. The VNC route is not an option for me. I guess the other option is to have the second computer and run Windows VM from there.
