So, to get to the server type \\servername\usershare

Make sure both PCs are set to the same workgroup name as the unRAID server. It almost sounds as if one is, and the other is not.
December 16, 200916 yr Author not right. cause i can share files between the pcs without trouble. so the same workgroup ist set. its a tiny windows xp configurationen with is wrong. OR can the unraid server (3version) only handle one maschine at the same time. big thanks for support!

OR can the unraid server (3version) only handle one maschine at the same time. big thanks for support! I've had every version of unRAID on my server from version 1 onward. Every one of them has been able to serve all the machines on my LAN, and I usually have 4 or 5 on at any given time. The only time I had to do anything odd was for my media servers, as they try to log into the server as "administrator" and then "guest" and lastly as "media" I had to add a user named "media" on my unRAID server to let them log in. Do you have passwords and logins configured on your XP box? You might need to put an equivalent ID for it to use on the unRAID server. Joe L.
December 17, 200916 yr Author ok thanks for this post, i will migrate the system to windows7 over x-mas. after changing the os i will see what happened. do you use the 6 hd version?
December 17, 200916 yr do you use the 6 hd version? The unRAID software is identical for all licenses. It is the license that determines the maximum number of array drives, and may limit access to features. Probably a long shot, but check what IP addresses are assigned to all of your machines, including routers and switches.
December 21, 200916 yr Author thanks RobJ! The Problem was very stupid. The Firewall blocked the IP from my UnRaid Server by maschine one. Other maschines in my network had not a small range of trusted IPs like maschine one. Thanks for all replies!!!!
