Hi, im fairly new to Unraid and everything is working fine so far besides one thing. I have made a Windows 10 VM with an USB-PCIe Controller routed to it. Then i plugged in my Audio-Interface (Focusrite Forte) into it. It is working for some time when suddenly the sound is gone. Mostly i can fix this by unplug and plug back the usb cable. But thats really annoying because most of the programs have to be restarted to recognize the device as well. Any tips what may cause this problem? I couldn't figure out a specific program which might cause the dropout nor a windows error in the log. Down below is my .xml-Code for the machine.

I would start by cutting down the number of cpus to four.  Some have reported performance issues with more than 4 cpus.

 

What are you doing that requires 10 cpus?  Quite a bit of overkill!

 

Also try USB2 by removing the  model='nec-xhci'.

I tried this but now i can't access my VM anymore. just get the UEFI Shell and don't know what to do. The exact same problem as here http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=48880.0

You reduced the number of cpus and it doesn't boot?  That doesn't make any sense?

 

What version of unraid?  You aren't manually editing the xml are you?

Thanks for your reply. I could bring my VM back to life, but the Audio dropout isn't gone sadly  I am using the latest Beta Version of unRaid. I just add one line in the .xml-File for my GTX 970 to be recognized. " <rom file='/boot/vbios.rom'/>"
