unRaid locking up - Help with diag..!!..

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have an odd issue that i am struggling in narrowing down as to the cause.  The issue appears to be this:

unRaid with latest release installed

1 Cache - 500gb

3 drive array - total 7tb storage

1 parity drive - 3tb

Docker - YES

-SABNZB

-SICKBEARD

-COUCHPOTATO

PLUGINS - YES

PLEX

OPENVPN

Here is the concern....

It appears when i do a data transfer to the unRaid box to at least my Photos Share, and then the  mover is initiated (either manually or automatically) the GUI locks up for unRaid.  I have tried to initiate a restart command (I do have the Power plugin installed) but this never does restart it.  I have to manually go down and force the box to restart.

I can still access the command line, but Im not sure how to get to logs to understand what is going on.

Can anyone provide some advice? Help, next steps?

TIA!!!

Thank you for the assistance with that.  I have now attached the diag zip file.  Any assistance to help identify what is causing the freeze of the GUI is appreciated!!!

You're running Plex as a plugin? The plugin isn't supported by unRAID 6.1.x. You should consider migrating to one of the Dockerized versions.

You say that the problem concerns your Photos share. Well there's a large amount of this

in your syslog and the mover never completes, but I can't tell what it's doing because your log has been anonymised. It might be working normally through a large number of files but I simply can't tell.

Earlier the same day there is a lot of this

which doesn't look right. Have you checked for filesystem corruption on your data disks? I'd delete the .AppleDB folder and its contents in the root of this share - unmount the AFP share on your Mac first. It will be recreated and the database rebuilt when you next use AFP to mount the share and that may help.

Beyond that, I can't really say as so much of the log that relates to the mover is redacted, which is ironic because there's a lot of information about what you're downloading from Usenet that isn't. Maybe someone who can better read your log can help.

Thanks for the info. Yes. The mover has a lot of detail about photos as I did a large data backup that day. Approx 250gb. All of which was in a rather deep file structure.

Good idea on the .appledb files. I'll take a stab and purgeing all of those. I don't leave my Mac connected all the timr
