Removing a drive from Cache Pool

Featured Replies

I saw this post: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=39774.0

but those steps don't seem to work for me.

I have three drives in my pool. The one I want to remove is the original (labeled 'cache' in the web interface). When I remove it, keep it set to 3 and start the array a rebalance doesn't happen and I cannot force it because that is done from the settings of the drive labeled 'cache' which I have just removed.

Any guidance here?

You have to physically disconnect the disk you want to remove, trying to start the array with it just unassigned will result in a unmountable cache pool.

After it is disconnected and you start the array the pool should autobalance to the 2 remaining disks.
