Can't load webgui in unraid 6

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have been searching and searching for a couple hours now to try and figure out what is going on. I was in the webgui because plex stopped responding. I restarted the plugin, and that was it. webgui went away.

I have restarted the box a couple times, and checked logs. I can telnet in just fine. Just can't connect to the webgui anymore. I am seeing the segmentation fault error that others have seen in past builds.

unraid segfault at 0 ip 00002b6f6a87a527 sp 00007ffc2a985200 error 4 in libc-2.17.so[2b6f6a83f000+1bf000]

I can't access anything on the box, so I am trying to figure out how to get the syslog up for you guys...

I have a putty output log. This is the best I can do remotely while I am at work. I really need this up and running!! It's the weekend!

Hopefully there is something that I can do other than redoing unraid entirely.

oh ya I have unraid version 6.1.9.. I have Emby and Plex docker apps, and the preclear plugin.

Cheers!

Remotely.  Probably not (except for maybe deleting /boot/config/vsftpd.user_list as theres a ton of messages from it.

Beyond that, you can try disabling docker to start up and see what happens - edit /boot/config/docker.cfg  change DOCKER_ENABLED to be "no" and then reboot and see what happens.

Kinda hoping that it was there, because it appears your ftp server is running because of the constant spam in the log, but if that file wasn't there, then it shouldn't be running.

So did you set docker to not start up automatically?

okay so I thought I found how to kill the ftp daemon but it's still there. I commented the ftp line from inetd.conf, and did this:

sed -i "s/^ftp/#ftp/" /etc/inetd.conf

killall -s HUP inetd

to the go script.

restarted, and the entry is still showing in the syslog:

May 13 17:22:06 UnRaid vsftpd[22701]: connect from 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1)

not sure what else to do.

also still no webgui :( I think I will shut the box down and check the flash drive for corruption.. I haven't touched this box for weeks. not sure how anything could have happened :(

yes I changed the startup for Docker to no. can I confirm that it's not running somehow?

HOLY CRAP!!!  so I shut it down, instead of just a restart.. Since I was going to pull the flash drive out. well I thought hmm I wonder if a cold boot will work. and BOOM I am in the webgui.. So weird that a shutdown was needed.. What the heck could persist? something in RAM? I guess? At any rate. I will monitor it for a few days, and if the issue returns I will post back.

Well I will post back either way. I hate leaving threads open.

Thanks for the basically immediate response!!! This was my first time posting to the forums. I have been an unraid user for a over a year now. Great support. Great forum!

THanks!

I would run memtest from the boot menu.  Memory errors *could* explain everything
