Passtrough the first PCI-e to VM

Featured Replies

Hello Community

I have a little Question.

Is it possible to passtrough the first and the third PCI-e Slot to the WIN10 VM's. And using the second for unraid console ? (Nvidia gpu)

I know there are not much difference between x16 and x8 but i want to use x16 :P

Someone does this ?

Thanks !

As far as I know, only possible if the CPU has an integrated GPU unraid can use if using an Nvidia GPU.

I read something about that you can passthrough the 1st if it is an AMD card.

Yeah i saw it works with amd gpu.

But i use nvidia an i will ise nvidia in the future.

Someone knows if it could fixed in the next patches. 6.2 perhaps ??

When will the final 6.2 comes online (round about)

Thanks !

As to your question of using the 2nd GPU for UnRAID, I believe this is more BIOS dependent as to having the option to set the primary GPU for booting.

If you do have this option, it is easy to set the primary display to the 2nd card, however not all BIOS's have this option.

If you wanted to pass all Nvidia cards (leaving none for the console/UnRAID), this may work for you http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=43644.msg452464#msg452464 to work around the Nvidia issue mentioned above.
