May 19, 201610 yr I had my parity drive fail last week so i bought a new 6TB drive to put in for parity. I started a parity sync this morning and just now had a drive possibly fail or throw errors. Im not sure what my best course of action here now is, can someone point me in the right direction as for what to do in this situation? Diagnostics were too big so i attached them to my google drive - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B420zM560KAfYkh0a0VTTXdTSVk/view?usp=sharing If anybody has a better suggestion other than google drive let me know.
May 19, 201610 yr Double check all your sata connections and power connectors first off. No idea what kind of case you have, but if its not hotswap with 17 drives, changing a drive (any drive) is a recipe for disaster.
May 19, 201610 yr Community Expert There are errors on disks 1,2,8 and 18, with disk 8 eventually dropping offline, issue is probably something they have in common, controller? mini SAS cable?
