May 19, 201610 yr Why does my SSD cache drive show only 15 writes in months? The other drives show millions of writes. I thought the writes went to the cached drive first. Did I configure something wrong when I installed it? Thanks.
May 19, 201610 yr Do you have "Use cache disk" set to yes on the shares you wish to use the cache drive? Typically files that go to the cache are then moved to the array by the scheduled file mover.
May 19, 201610 yr Also, are your writes to existing files, or new files? In my experience, new files get written to cache, existing files get re-written in-situ (on the array).
May 19, 201610 yr Each user share must be configured individually to use the cache drive. The default for any user share is to not use the cache drive so you have to set each one you want to use cache. And if you have an appdata share it should be set to Use cache disk: Only.
May 20, 201610 yr Author Oh now I feel stupid. Yes, all the shares were set to not use the cache. I just assumed the cache drive would be used by default when I installed it. Hmm, I wonder if that's why my write speeds did not see any improvement. Thanks for the responses. Much appreciated.

Turbo Write isn't perfect for everyone. I for example would rather have all but 2 disks spun down.
