problem using mv to a user share

Featured Replies

The problem I'm experiencing is it seems that using the mv command to move a file to a user share does not properly abide by the exclude rule set for that user share. I noticed this happening with Media Rover and I've been able to reproduce it under the following scenario:

user share name: TV_shows

allocation method: High-water

split level: 4

included disk(s): <empty>

excluded disks(s): disk7

export (SMB): Export read/write

user share name: usenet

allocation method: Fill-up

included disk(s): disk7

excluded disks(s): <empty>

export (SMB): Export read/write

The usenet directory is the only root level directory on disk7 and the SABnzbd downloads directory is under that. When Media Rover moves a file, or when I use mv (eg: 'mv file1.mkv /mnt/user/TV_shows/ShowA/Season 03/') Unraid will create /TV_Shows/ShowA/Season 03/ on disk7 and move the file to that directory.

However, if I drag/drop in Windows Explorer on another networked pc, or if I use 'cp file1.mkv /mnt/user/TV_shows/ShowA/Season 03/)' from telnet session in unraid, the file is properly copied to a directory on disk1-6 as per the user share rules.

Is this by design? Or do I possibly have a setting or a .conf file messed up?

Edit: forgot to mention I'm using Unraid 4.5-beta12
