I just wanted to know if it's compatible since it's quite expensive. One quick shortcut is to do a bit of Google research and find out which chip set is used on the board. Then search for the chip set in the "Storage Devices and Controllers" sub-forum and see if you can find out some information that way. (Models numbers can change faster than a woman can change her lipstick shade!)
