Newb Help - Connecting to VM?

Featured Replies

I've started toying around with VMs and have some newbishness to sort out...

What is the best/easiest way to connect to the VMs remotely? I have a Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa VM at the moment, but will be experimenting with other distros, as well as Windows and/or OSX at some point. I have 2 other Windows 10 PCs that I might connect from, but primarily would like to use either a Linux laptop or my Chromebook as "terminals".

I can use the native VNC viewer from unRaid, but this does not scale with the remote display so it's pretty much unusable aside from initial configuration after OS install. I'd like to have a full desktop experience similar to that of Windows RDP.

I've tried simply using Windows RDP and ChromeRDP, but neither will connect. I have the VM configured in Bridge mode and it is getting an IP from my router. ALL PCs are on the same network segment using  the same router.

Any tips/links/guides will be much appreciated!
