May 26, 201610 yr I have a VPN set up between 2 unRaid computers 6.1.9 and 6.2.b21. They are half a world apart and connected by petersm OpenVPN plugin. I want to use bunker hashes from the file integrity plugin to validate the copying process. I attempt to rsync between the computers after mounting the other computer either via NFS or via CIFS. I have tried mounting directly and via Unassigned Devices, and the results are the same. It works both ways, files are transferred slowly, but the extended attributes are never transferred. Yet I can do the same thing within my own LAN between two unRaid machines and mounting via NFS, the extended attributes are transferred without issue. rsync -avPX /mnt/disk2/Backups /mnt/chinadisk2/Backups Can VPN limit the ability to transfer the extended attributes? Other issues, rsync is only doing 50kb/sec transfer through the Chinese firewall between my gigabit connections. I haven't experimented with daemon mode yet.
