preclear problems and clear crashes

Featured Replies

hello,

i tried to assign some "new" = "unused"  to my array .... :D

both preclear versions do not react when clicking the http-link  ::)

adding the un-precleared disks to the array will crash thge whole system completely  :o:(>:(

Only power Off - On even the ssh connection (putty) is dead :(

if you can direct me to a crash log i will upload it here

any solutions - like a commandline option for preclear ? or using gparted or dban ?

cheers - ahab

Here's the link to the command line Preclear but your system doesn't sound very stable right now.  I'd recommend posting more details about your system configuration (hardware, dockers, plugins, etc.).  Also, post a Tools -> Diagnostics.

Solved some of my problems by :

updated the controller bios and firmware

updated the mobo firmware and reset it to optimal settings

removed the 32 GB Ram (4x8 GB) and replaced it with different ones (4x4 GB)

reinstalled the server 6.1.9 and did not reinstall many plugins as well as docker apps

only 2 errors are remaining :

1. login console shows an errormessage : *name - invalid parameters

2. cache (ocz vertex 4 256 GB) - no spin-down smart short and smart long selftest hang at 10 % - full preclear of that disk was okay

any advise

cheers - ahab666
