Scripting Parity Check and Share Exports Setting changes

I'm looking into scheduling my exported NFS shares to be unshared (not exported) during parity checks.  What I want is the following to occurs:

[*]Change NFS shares Export setting to No.

[*]Start Parity Check

[*]Change NFS shares Export setting to Yes upon completion of parity check.

 

Is something like this at all possible?  It only is worth it for me to fully automate this because if I need any manual intervention I might as well manually change the share settings myself.
