June 2, 201610 yr Hi, i am new to the unraid community. I need some advice around the core components, specifically CPU, videocard and raid solution on my new build I don't know should i choose a xeon or buy a 6900k broadwell-e. What should I buy? I am trying to build a server/pc that i can share with my wife and have plenty of hard drive space for our shows/movie collection. Budget around 3500$ here my parts list For my side of the pc i would like to have atleast 4 core and a gtx1080 512gb nvme For her side 2 core with either a gtx780 or a AMD card if this will make life easier 512ssd For the server/storage i would like to have 4-5 red hard disk raid with 1 ssd as cache, 12tb total will be enough. Is it also possible to use untorrent and as a share drive for both users? I am a hardcore gamer/edit videos, she will just use it to go watch youtube or movie. My second question. From what i have read online i may have to use a 3rd videocard as a output for unraid? is this true for the set up i want to build? 3rd, Is it possible to share a onboard wifi ( like from a Asus x99 Deluxe ) for both user?
