psychosb
Hello Everyone. I bought an APC UPS here in Brazil, tried to make it work with the default APCUPSD from Unraid (v6) without Success. Googled it a lot and discovered that under the APC hood I have an Microsol UPS, that's not compatible with the APC Daemon or the NUT Project! :'( Found a project that modded the default APCUPSD to work with my UPS, but I can't compile it with Unraid. Can anyone help me with this? I'm hoping that with the binary files I can replace the default daemons with the new one with the driver for my UPS and then I can manage it with Unraid. Project site: https://sourceforge.net/projects/apcupsd-brazil/?source=typ_redirect Source Download: https://sourceforge.net/projects/apcupsd-brazil/files/apcupsd_brazil-0.5.5.tar.gz/download Thanks a lot! RobJ
Hopefully, someone will respond with help, but I think it might be quicker to take it back, get a true APC that's fully APC compatible. This smacks of fraud to me. I would think they would agree to take it back as it does not meet your requirements of a true APC (whatever it may say on the fraudulent label). Quote Link to comment
psychosb
Yeah, I have considered that option. But here in Brazil we don't have too much options of (good) UPS of 800 - 1400va with management interface in this price range. I found a TS-Shara 1400 and aparently the Network UPS Tools has limited support for these models too. I don't need anything too complex or expensive, just need to shutdown my Unraid Server in power faults in keep my disks safe. Sent an e-mail to the APCUPSD team hoping that they incorporate the "APC" (Microsol) Drivers on the daemon. Thanks Hopefully, someone will respond with help, but I think it might be quicker to take it back, get a true APC that's fully APC compatible. This smacks of fraud to me. overbyrn
I compiled it, but zero clue if it's what you need or will help. Was built against Slackware Current, which I think is what 6.2 is based on. ./configure --prefix=/usr Configuration on Mon Aug 1 20:38:13 EDT 2016: Host: i686-pc-linux-gnu -- slackware Slackware 14.2 Apcupsd version: 0.7.5 (13 June 2016) Source code location: . psychosb
Hello there. Thanks for your reply, but I could not get this running. I've replaced the files you compiled with the original ones, but I get the following error "Cannot execute binary file". I'm not sure how I can convert those to run under unraid.
