I think you need to give all your channels a number in Tvheadend. it worked for me.

Finally got TVHProxy working.

 

Basically, after you put the ip address:5004 into the Live TV setup and hit the button to find the server, it will never show up but you will know if it found the proxy server if it unchecks the tuners that it can see, that means it found something else and checked that instead (or when the continue button becomes clickable if theres no discoverable tuners for plex). It will be invisible..but just hit continue and you will be able to set it up.

 

I beat my head on the desk for hours before I discovered that.

 

 

How do recordings work though? I dont see any recordings from TVH and setting something to record in Plex makes Plex record the program and then add it to my library. I want everything to go through TVH.

TVHProxy is only a tuner proxy. So when you tell Plex to record something, it records it via TVH and puts it in a library. If you record things directly in TVH and want that to appear in Plex, share the recordings folder to Plex and add it as a Library in Plex.

Morning. Is it possible to host WordPress with apache-php and influxdb? 

If so how could one go about doing so?

 

I already have lets-encrypt installed, and influx being fed information from my home assistant. I currently host a simple on a server 2012 VM in unraid, but it consumes far too many resources, so ideally I'd like to use dockers. I think i know how to migrate from one to another, but I need help with configuring apache first. - Many Thanks.

For anyone having an issue setting up this container, here are some tips from me:

 

- don't worry that there appear to be no port or config mappings. Everything is fine, you don't need to add these.

- if you set your own IP (which you will probs have to do given it requires port 80) then ALL other containers it interacts with need their own IP

- tvhProxy may need a restart before it will be recognised by TVH.

- Don't mess with ports

- use <ip>:<port> format of tvhProxy setup in Plex to find the server.

I'm struggling to get Plex, Tvheadend and TVHProxy setup.

 

I have an Elgato EyeTV Netstream Sat plugged into my satellite feed and then plugged into my network (via Ethernet) and I can watch TV (Freesat) using the EyeTV app on my Mac and iOS devices.

 

I then created a m3u file from the Elgato EyeTV Netstream Sat website/server and fed that into my Tvheadend container (running on it's own IP). I created a new user (access it has is pretty much the same as the admin/default user) with a password and I got a long list of channels and I can watch live TV when I click on the Play button on the channel list when I login as that user (watching through VLC).

 

However when I try to setup the TVHProxy container (running on it's own IP) I get a Internal Server Error message when I try to visit it's IP (both on port 80 and 5004) by going to the lineup.json page.

 

I also tried the plextvheadend container (running on the same IP as TVHProxy - although I don't run plextvheadend and TVHProxy at the same time) and when I goto lineup.json I just get an empty json file.

 

The logs on Unraid (version 6.6.6) for both proxy containers don't show any errors that I can see.

 

When I try Plex and use the <IP>:<Port> or just <IP> for either proxy container It can't find anything.

 

Anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong? I've seen online that you might need to supply TVHeadend with a set of channel numbers but I am not sure how to do this.

I would like to access the apache-php docker (/config, /web) via smb, but it says i dont have permissions... how to fix?

 

1.) nvm. data folder seems to work, just not config files.

 

2.) Also, there seem to be support for mod rewrite missing, ive mo2end rewrite it and it keept it, even after restart, was that the correct way?

 

3.) could you maybe include the httpd.conf inside the conf folder?

 

Will this container get further updates?

hi I have some questions about the apache webserver

I currently use windows 2016 server to run 5 websites I have on my vm

I wanted to know if apache can run all 5 websites at once  if it can run windows server side includes  as that's my website 

and if it has the option for reverse dns I think  so  5 websites and if you do www.site1.com  goes to 1 directory   www.site2.com goest to 2 directory and so on..

 

and I tried installing apache I but when I try to run the gui mode its page not be found  at port 8005

 

so maybe you guys could tell me if this would work  or if its just for 1 website etc

Is there a configuration setting on TVHeadend that i am supposed to set for it to work.

In regards to the Apache-PHP container, it would be nice to have the apache2.conf/httpd.conf file in the config folder so we can make changes to it!

And +1 for enabling mod_rewrite as well.

Am using it to host multiple wordpress sites and workpress now requires php 5.6 or higher.

 

Apt-get only upgraded it to php 5.5

+1 on this error. Plex sees the TVHproxy tuner, but "There was a problem getting the channels for your device" when you try to scan.

Exact same error log in tvhproxy too. @Stealth1081 Did you end up finding a fix for this?

Just worked out the fix for this - you nee to enable basic authentication under the base config tab:

 

the proxy will then be able to connect and it should all work straight away.

I am needing to use tvhproxy so plex can use the tuner but when i type in the ip of tvhproxy in plex it doesn't show anything up. Been trying for a while as tp what it is and I can't think of anything.

it's working

tvheadend on br0 (added user and password)

tvhproxy on br0 (different ip, + user and password and tvheadendip and port)

plex (from linuxservers) on bridge, tvhproxy tv tuner showed up automatically

 

my problem:

i tested with only a few channels.

now i added some more but they won't show up in plex.

the new added channels in tvheadend won't show up in plex.

i restarted tvheadend, tvhproxy and plex but no change.

now working. forget to give numbers to the channels in tvheadend. the new ones had all 0. changed it to different numbers and they showed up in Plex.

Hi Amardilo -  did you ever get anywhere with this? I'm having the sam problems. My Plex server is the binhex-plex docker, running on network type 'host'. I can connect to Plex via the web GUI from the dockers page, or stream from Plex via other devices on my network - so that's good.

 

My tvheadend server is running on a Raspberry Pi with a TV HAT. I can access the tvheadend GUI via 192.168.1.131:9981 and then login. I know there's a good connection between the Pi and Unraid as tvheadend records to a share on Unraid 🙂

 

I am a bit stumped as to what the problem might be and the TVHProxy container doesn't show anything in the logs at all.

i dont use tvhproxy anymore for this usecase as i switched, but may some points

 

docker settings in unraid, allow network access to host should be enabled so plex and tvhproxy can comunicate

 

 

and about tvh usage with password, read about it howto, there where some steps to take sometimes, read about auth type plain and digest, has nothing todo when using the web gui but when using apps or scripts to fetch the m3u.
