June 6, 201610 yr I have a disk that developed a SMART error (198 Offline uncorrectable raw value=1). It will be empty by the time I replace it this week (I'm moving the files from /mnt/disk2 to my other data disks). I will be replacing it with a different brand disk (replacing 4TB WD with a 4TB Seagate). When looking at the Official Documentation on the Wiki, it has a section for replacing a failed disk. Is this the instructions to follow even though my disk was not red balled? Or should I be using New Configuration? If so, is there any documentation on this? The Wiki doesn't appear to cover it except to say to use it. The drive I'm replacing should be empty by that time, so there won't be any contents. I'm using version 6.1.8.
