Use an Old License (2011) with unRAID v6

Featured Replies

I bought a "Plus" license for unRAID back in January 2011 and never built the server. I'm looking at building one in the next few weeks as I have all the kit spare. Will this license work with unRAID v6?

I'm pretty sure I still have the USB drive (Lexar was recommended at the time). Is it just a case of putting the latest build of unRAID back on the USB key and copying over the license?

Thanks......

If you have a key file registered to the USB drive you put it on unRAID will use it regardless of version.

Great, thanks for the response

And iirc even if you've lost the original USB key you can put the license key file onto a new USB and it will ask you if you want to transfer the license to a new USB.  This can only be done once every year though.
