But to be more specific:' If I try to browse to the server i see nothing in the network list for the server. i can, however, map to a drive if I go ahead and put in the UNC to the share in the folder prompt of the mapping, ie: \\tower\movies So the links I have found in my search mentioning Samba stopping wouldn't seem to be the problem, i presume. Will an upgrade to the 4.5 final release cure this problem?
December 27, 200916 yr When I ran all the betas of 4.5, I could always browse to the server, so you're issue is likely due to configuration. The problem is unlikely to be caused by the 4.5beta6 or 4.5 final software. Are you certain you have them in the same workgroup/network group?
January 4, 201016 yr ewingr, did you solve your issue with the shares not appearing on Win7? Please confirm what you did so if other have the same issue they will know how to fix it. Regards, chopeta
