Recommendation for Rack Mount 3u/4u Case (6-8 drives)

Featured Replies

I'm trying to find a good rack mount case to support between 6 -8 drives for a home server rebuild.  Currently using a mini-itx board so it needs to support that.

Any recommendations on what a good rack mount case would be?

2U?4U?6u?

Look at istarusa systems you can find them on amazon fairly cheaply.

Preference was a 3u/4u so I can use my current components.  I've looked at a few iStar cases but I'm only seeing them supporting down to micro-atx.  No mention of mini-itx support.  Been looking at the Rosewill cases but the drive caddies look like crap.  Not sure if I can swap them out for some iStar hot swap bays.

mini ITX is hole compatible with ATX, so any case that takes ATX or uATX will take mini ITX.

I'm considering this case here but my concern is that it doesn't specifically mention support for a mini-ITX board.  I don't want to buy it and then not have it work.  Anyone using something similar with a mini-ITX board?
